나의 사랑하는 책

 

1. 나의 사랑하는 책 비록 해어졌으나
어머니의 무릎 위에 앉아서
재미있게 듣던 말 그때 일을 지금도
내가 잊지 않고 기억합니다
귀하고 귀하다
우리 어머니가 들려주시던
재미있게 듣던 말 이 책 중에 있으니
이 성경 심히 사랑합니다

2. 옛날 용맹스럽던 다니엘의 경험과
유대 임금 다윗 왕의 역사와
주의 선지 엘리야 바람 타고 하늘에
올라가던 일을 기억합니다
귀하고 귀하다
우리 어머니가 들려주시던
재미있게 듣던 말 이 책중에 있으니
이 성경 심히 사랑합니다

3. 예수 세상 계실 때 많은 고난 당하고
십자가에 달려 죽임당한 일
어머니가 읽으며 눈물 많이 흘린 것
지금까지 내가 기억합니다
귀하고 귀하다 우리 어머니가 들려주시던
재미있게 듣던 말 이 책 중에 있으니
이 성경 심히 사랑합니다

4. 그때 일은 지나고 나의 눈에 환하오
어머니의 말씀 기억하면서
나도 시시때때로 성경 말씀 읽으며
주의 뜻을 따라 살려 합니다
귀하고 귀하다 우리 어머니가 들려주시던
재미있게 듣던 말 이 책 중에 있으니
이 성경 심히 사랑합니다

1.There's a dear and pre-cious Book,
Tho' it's worn and fad-ed now,
Which re-calls those hap-py days so long a-go;
When I stood at mother's knee,
With her hand up-on my brow,
And I heard her voice in gen-tle tones and low.
Bless-ed Book pre-cious Book
On thy dear old tear-stained leaves I love to look
Thou art sweet-er day by day,
As I walk the nar-row way
That leads at last to that bright home a-bove.

2.As she read the sto-ries o'er,
Of those might-y men of old,
Of Jo-seph and of Dan-iel and their trials;
Of lit-tle Da-vid bold,
Who be-came a king at last
Of Sa-tan with his man-y wick-ed wiles.
Bless-ed Book pre-cious Book
On thy dear old tear-stained leaves I love to look
Thou art sweet-er day by day,
As I walk the nar-row way
That leads at last to that bright home a-bove.

3.Then she read of Je-sus' love,
As He blest the child-ren dear,
How He suf-fered, bled and died up-on the tree;
Of His heav-y load of care,
Then she dried my flow-ing tears
With her kiss-es as she said it was for me.
Bless-ed Book pre-cious Book
On thy dear old tear-stained leaves I love to look
Thou art sweet-er day by day,
As I walk the nar-row way
That leads at last to that bright home a-bove.

4.Well, those days are past and gone,
But their mem-'ry lin-gers still,
And the dear old Book each day has been my guide;
And I seek to do His will,
As my moth-er taught me then,
And ev-er in my heart His words a-bide.
